Spong: Not certain if I really need three of them, but Trademe's getting swamped, and they're stating to fetch as low as $150. What a bargain :-)

I might try to get one off trademe for $150 if I can. Have to be careful though, as sometimes people will try to get rid of broken stuff on trademe.

Just spotted this on Prime's Facebook page, anyone have any more information?

Q: "Ok so when is your EPG coming to Tivo?, you're the only free to air channel that refuses to share your EPG!"Prime TV's reply (posted 5/12/2011) :

A: "Hi Greg, we are working on a solution, we hope to have something sorted in the next few weeks."

This would be good, was in the market for a second PVR (currently got a TiVo and love it, but hate that Prime is not on it). Was looking at MagicTV so that I could have Prime EPG. If TiVo get Prime EPG and with the price of TiVo nowadays, it would be foolish not to buy one, and I would start watching Prime again :-)

One caveat I have thought of though, on buying another TiVo I am concerned about is if TiVo go belly up in NZ, am I going to be left with a useless device because no one is providing an EPG? After all TiVo have to produce the data that the TiVo device downloads from the internet, it's not like FreeView EPG that is broadcast with the TV signal.

@meremaiden

I don't actually know how to get a direct link to a comment on a Facebook page, but if you look at

http://www.facebook.com/PrimeTV'

and do a search for tivo it is fairly near the top. Hope that helps. I already "like"d the comment.

This is great to see. A lot more people have tivos now, since they are so cheap, and telecom are also giving them away.
