But the only viewer count that's done that I'm aware of is from surveys done using so called people meters.

How many TiVos do you know in installations that have people meters?

Besides, people like you and I don't fit into a demographic that advertisers have any interest in reaching.

I still don't think there's anything in it for Sky who only bought Prime so they can fulfill their "free-to-air" commitments using their own resource and so control it all in house.

What concerns me is TVNZ!

They have a stake in hybrid Television Services and yet they;

Push and pull Freeview channels -  heartland to Sky
Enter into a new deal with Sky for Free to Air

Surely they are in the best position to apply leverage to get the Prime epg.

It can only mean one thing! TVNZ will abandon TiVo. (Oh well that didn't work, lets try something else)

I think TiVo has worked, its a great product, well proven and with endless opportunities. (if someone with a bit of nouse, put on their creative cap)

What is TVNZ's plan re TiVo?

Sky and TVNZ both shyster's, neither interested in what people want

They see me rollin, they hatin!

they wrote their investment in tivo off and are more interested in pay tv, thus their investing over $15 million in the new sky service, which is also how much they wanted from the government to run tv7.  lets hope a new boss will put focus back on free tv

Looks like tivo have updated their website since maori tv was added. They now recommend people phone sky direct to request it on their 0800 number as shown at

Why can?t I see programme listing information for PRIME?

Currently we do not have programme listing information for Prime. You can still watch their shows and manually record by time and channel using TiVo, but you won?t be able to schedule recordings using the On Screen Guide, Season Pass or WishList features.

We?d love to offer Prime listings and we encourage viewers who feel the same way to contact the channel and tell them what they?re missing out on.

Help us get these channel listings, contact this broadcaster: (PRIME) phone 0800 759 759.

Thank you for contacting TiVo Support.

Negotiation are currently under way with Prime Television and we are hopeful for a final agreement to be reached in the near future.

For any future enquiries related to this issue please reply to this message leaving the reference number in the subject.

TiVo Support

I think the best option is for people to continue to phone prime on 0800 759 759, as per the tivo website, until the EPG is up.

From Prime Facebook page today:

Hi TiVo users! We’ve been waiting until we had something to report before updating you on progress getting Prime’s listings on TiVo’s EPG. Today we can let you know that the contract is very close to being signed at both ends and the listings should be live a few days after that happens. Sorry we still can’t give definite dates; there are legal and tech issues both companies need to work through to make this happen and as those guys pass information on to us, we’re passing it on to you.
Crossing our fingers for this week – we’ll let you know more as it comes… :)

It's about frikin time, been hassling prime about what is going on and been given 2 different stories, then the quite treatment when this is pointed out.

I guess they have been making themselves look like loosers when they are the only channel not allowing the epg on tivo, and finally after a bit of pressure they have seen the light

Not to mention that it must have been costing them a lot in time dealing with support from those tivo callers calling up on their 0800 number.

Still probably a good idea to keep the pressure on them until they can provide an actual data, or until tivo has thre date shown in the EPG.the tivo epg is still telling people to contact prime.
