no idea what they are dust mites or something? they seem to like my cameras, they are white and about 1 - 2 mm long. i saw them last winter, even saw them in dodgey places, under the lcd screen , in the view finder , on the sesnor etc eek. Vacumed camera bag out a few times, left camera out of bag for a week, left bag to sit out in sun and camera in warm spot indirect sunlight. they seemed to disappear over summer now they are back again. I am thinking of spraying raid or something in the small container and sitting it carefully inside my camera bag to 'stink it out' will the smell / fumes from fly spray / insect repellent effect my camera?

I've had that before. I suggest you put the camera in a large ziplock bag and put the lot in the fridge, leave it there for a few days, that should sort it out. Some people suggest the freezer, but I wouldn't risk it myself. Asus eee pad transformer iPod 2G Windows 7 PC Lots and lots of Nikon camera gear

It's a good idea to leave your camera out of its bag when you are storing it at home. This exposes it to airflow which should reduce moisture buildup, which may help with your problem.

Not sure I agree with that Alasta. My cameras are in a padded bag that looks like suitcase, hidden in a cupboard. Leaving it visible from a window would be a bad idea too, thieves are about. If it's damp put some of those moisture absorber things in there. After having about 10 cameras in 5 years moisture has never been an issue, even in the tropics it's not a big issue. Use square brackets around the tags but not around the link. Advanced use: url=www.target.com/page.html option for inline links. Create a post in the geekzone>geekzone forum to try it out if you are unsure. I've done that a few times for different things. Freitasm does not seem to mind the practice : ).
