I am unable to log-in to my Facebook either using the internet or the Android app. On the Android app I get a message telling me that a browser needs to be opened in order to regain access to facebook upon opening the browser and entering my password I get the following message

The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.facebook.com/checkpoint/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

This is the same message I get when trying to log-in on my computer using Google Chrome.

Any ideas what is going on? My girlfriend was able to get into her account on her Andriod this morning so it would seem to be an issue with my account.

Further, I have my Andriod app synched with facebook and all info in my contacts list(on phone) is gone. Also I created a new facebook account using an alternate email and it appears that my normal account is gone. I'm not able to find it. I also looked at some friends friend list and I am not on them. I can access the page I created through this newly created account however.

What is going on with my account?
