The metadata lookup in EPG Collector accesses the TVDB.com site to retrieve TV program data. Recently this site, which is free for us to access, has been force to change servers from a free hosting service to one that charges.

They have asked for donations to assist in paying for the new hosting service. The address for donations is here

http://www.thetvdb.com/donate/

Please consider a donation no matter how small. They are a valuable data source for us (I don't know of a comparable service for TV Shows) and if they were forced to close from a lack of support it would be a shame.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks for the heads up, the TVDB is awesome, I think it's worth donating. Done!

If you use My TV Series in MediaPortal, the metadata for all your shows comes from TVDB as well.

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
