What type of data are you collecting?

Genre is only broadcast for EIT or OpenTV. It's not present in MHEG5 for NZ or AUS.

Just restarted pc and tried it again, this time it worked but only providing 12 hours EPG for the dvb-s2 tuner. This is my ini file for both dvb-t and dvb-s2

Output:TVGUIDE.xml
Timeouts:10,1500
Satellite:282
Dish:9750000,10600000,10600000
Location:GBR
Option:ACCEPTBREAKS
Frequency:746000,8,EIT
Frequency:11778000,27500,2/3,V,OPENTV

Does anyone know why it's only giving 12 hours EPG for the satellite frequency, it gave a full 7 days last week.

I'm collecting MHEG5 over DVB-T in NZ. I guess that's why I'm not getting the Genre data. Everything else seems to work well though.

Thanks for the info.

I am trying to add DiSEqC switching to the Collector.

Unfortunately we don't have the necessary hardware so are looking for anyone who has the appropriate hardware and is willing to help with testing.

It looks like your OS needs to be W7 although Vista may work. This is a very grey area and there is little or no documentation available except for the official Diseqc spec so be prepared for some frustrating times.

HI,

First post so be gentlke ;)

I'm giving this excellent piece of software a go, using Sky TV in the UK. After some help from Steve, I have it running but am really stuck on one issue:

The scan lists close to 1000 channels so I would like to exclude many (I don't want to use the channel directive, I want to exclude them individually). To more easily reproduce my problem, I'll give just one channel as an example:

the log file lists:
14:44:39:190 Included station: BBC THREE        (2,2045,6319 Service type 1)

So in my ini file I put the line:
Station:2,2045,6319

This seems to have no effect at all and the reulting xml file still shows this channel (BBC Three). I have checked the data with Lyngsat and they're correct. I have no idea how to make the software ignore a channel. Can anyone help?

Regards

PS - my fill ini is:
Output:D:\OpenTV\Raw\OpenTVraw.xml
Tuner:6
Timeouts:10,900
Satellite:282
Location:GBR
Option:ACCEPTBREAKS,USECHANNELID
Dish:9750000,10600000,11700000
Frequency:11778000,27500,2/3,V,OpenTV
Station:2,2045,6319

Hi, it's working now without any changes so my fault clearly (sorry for wasting anyone's time). However, I have come across a funny issue:

I use option 'usechannelid' and this works fine. However, if I try to set one channel number individually (e.g. Station:2,2056,3852,178 // ITV1 HD), all the others go back to their SID value, as if I had never used 'usechannelid' at all.

Any ideas?

Regards

You don't really need to ignore any channels you can easily do that with Big Screen EPG if that's what you use to import the data.

Hi Guys

Wonder if someone can help. I am in the UK trying to get Sky UK EPG using the tool but getting nowhere fast. The log file says it gets a signal lock but then it just sits there before returning with error code 6. AFAIK, the driver is BDA and is an DVB-S2 card if that is significant. Thanks for any help.
