Yahoo is a browser?
Google is a browser?

Chrome IS a browser.

Hi TENKAN ...

I am taking a guess that your Internet Service Provider is Telecom Xtra?
If this is the case, then Yahoo is perhaps the "Home Page" and your laptop is set to open at Yahoo each time you start up. Yahoo does have a Search Engine on that page ... and it does suck *grin*
Now if you are using the Google Chrome Browser, it is simply a matter of setting a new home page, like the Google Search page, (or any page you like) once you find how to set the homepage, Google will open up each time you start the laptop.
I hope I have not confused things for you ... I am only a meek geek. Good luck.

I keep changing it back to Google but it wont stay there,as whatever I type in my address bar is searched in Yahoo, I change the default search engine back to Google but whenever I close my browser it gets changed back to Yahoo. How do I stop this, It's just soooo REALLY annoying!

Are you sure you're changing the default and not just the search engine for that session? I don't use Chrome so not sure, but in IE, for example, you can choose any of the other search engines but that is just for that search. If you want to change the default you need to use the dropdown and "Manage Search Providers" Might be something similar?

You are changing the default search engine here, right?

If you have Youtube Downloader this installs a toolbar that changes the search engine to Yahoo.

Uninstall just the toolbar change the default back to Google and problem is solved.
