Hi People

Just wanting to get some feedback on improvements for our website. We are a new business registered in New Zealand and currently sell imported products online only. While we will be looking at stores in the future it would be good to hear what type of products and services people are wanting.

We are currently advertising in News Papers, and will be advertising on TV shortly. But if Geekzone staff are interested in having an exclusive discount promo to offer its members feel free to let me know.

We have a few products listed currently, over 2000+ more to be added to the website.

You can check us out here: http://www.clickabargain.co.nz

If I am not allowed to post this type of post, then feel free to remove this post. I just could not find anywhere else to place it.

My first suggestion would be to run your website though a grammer checker. Seriously, it's a joke. I wouldn't go near something that has so many obvious mistakes in it.

It's "Facebook" not "Face Book". It's "Android phones" not "Android phone's". Similarly "Digital cameras" not "Digital camera's"

There is alot of work to be done on it, Including spelling. Not my best attribute :)

We are hiring someone to go over everything this week, to get it all updated.

You really need to focus on grammar and spelling.

You probably should have had this checked over before publishing your site.

If I stumbled across your site, I would not feel comfortable purchasing anything.

I Agree with you :) This is something I Should have had done first. While it has not affected sales so far, It is an important issue that is currently being corrected. I hire people to do this, I just focus on pushing the site and the orders. As of next week we will also have a full time IT person managing the site also. Its very early stages, but so far has hit off well sale wise anyway.

Best of luck, hope it goes well for you! It isn't easy starting up an online store so I hope this feedback helps :)

Hi There

Good or bad feed back is something I want. We can't improve things if people don't say anything. I appreciate everyone that has commented so far. So thank you. :)

Do you know you spelt grammar wrong :)

I do agree that poor spelling  / grammar on a website is certainly an alarm bell whether warranted or not.

Hi Jamway.. I presume mostly what you sell is dropped shipped to NZ?
Do you pay for the GST/Duty for anything which is over $400 (if dropped shipped). How is this done?

Do you supply any GPL source code for all the Android Tablets/Phones you sell? If not, have you checked the legalities of selling them?

Adverts on your website which advertise non existent items and are non clickable?

Updates of MAPS for the GPS units?

"Works On Two Degrees, Vodafone and Telstra Clear Networks" Telstra Clear have a Cell phone network?

TelstraClear sits on top of Vodafone, so any Vodafone-compatible phone should also work on TCL.

I Mate

In respects to Drop shipped. This is how we started yes, but now hold stock in Hamilton. Of course fees in respects to GST and Tax Duty. When importing bulk any thing over $400 incurs Tax duty and GST.

In respects to non-clickable we are currently updating the site as explained and things will soon be able to be clicked on :) All GPS maps are up to date with New Zealand Mapping.

And as the person above just said, Telstra Clear run on Vodafone so yes Telstra offer there own sim cards, very much like Slingshot also.

If you now hold stock in NZ it would be great if you could let people know which stock is shipping from NZ and which stock is shipping from overseas, similar to what mindkits do.

Also you didn't actually answer if you or the customer pays the GST/import duty on items over $400?

GPS comes with latest maps but is their a way for customers to update in the future? Say when 2013 maps come out?

Oh Sorry mate, No customers are not liable for the taxes or GST. That is something the company covers and it is free shipping within New Zealand. We will be making a number of changes in the coming weeks to reflect which products are already in stock here in NZ and which are not.

Yes the GPS units come with software that can be updated by the buyer "Customer"
