geekiegeek:

"With Grubber music you can upload your own music for other's to hear and purchase"

Like to see how long that lasts without recording industry consent.

yer, well it will be manly your own music that you have made, also Ill check into every song that you put on, to see if
the song is made by the user and if its original.

dclegg:
ryanc1256: oh and also its safe to put in your password Im using really quite good security, so this is my password that it spits out $2a$15$MEg1Kpkmm3BFVLFyO73vweUj75JtdxL/s3q2nJ40uPHC0UQNnA6r6

I note in another post you stated this is what your algorithm spits out. Homemade security algorithms are almost always a bad idea, as creating a robust and secure one is a difficult task. Using existing well tested algorithms is a much better way to go.

Here is an excellent article on dealing with secure passwords.

it's not a home made security algorithms, it uses bycript as a lot of the security pros say to use over at stackoverflow, which I use.

ryanc1256: also the inconsistant font's (sic) are getting replaced when i upgrade some of the older pages, most of the new pages are with a common font, which is going to be added to all the pages, so it has more constant font

You have to stop using unnecessary apostrophes - I've noticed them all over the site. Bob the Angry Flower has the goods.

I love the image of the flower and yes, i do relise that. Most of the text is a quick jot down of what I want it to say. It will eventually change to perfect english, where the apostrophise and stuff are correct and everything is right with the spelling.

personally I wouldnt use it, mostly because of

1. theres facebook
2. theres google+
3. theres geekzone

with those 3 things i dont really need another social type website like this. i think youre going to find the same with most people. theres facebook already with all their friends and family already signed up, why would someone sign up to another site to start all over again? especially when theres so few people there.

Your site also lacks direction. What's the concept?
You tell me why I should use your site.

What does it provide that Facebook doesn't already do better?
Yes, it's a good way of showing your talents (and flaws), but I think you just need to be honest with yourself. Why would anyone WANT to use it?

How did you teach yourself? What languages do you learn? I'm in the opposite situation myself. Have what I think is an amazing idea but not the skills to build it.

I used http://www.w3schools.co.nz for the basics on html, css and a little php but moved away from that as it was a bit limiting, so i started to go off other peoples websites, and mainly googling. I also started to learn javascript, and i also came to Jquery (javascript library) and stayed with that for half of the year :-D. Still use it its a wonderful javascript Library
