They are about $US 15 when you renew them I have found from godaddy. You can buy .nz domains from $15 if you google nz domains if you are just wanting cheap nz domains. You can even get maori.nz ones for just $1.

I suggest you pop over to Whirlpool (www.whirlpool.net.au) and have a read of the constant stream of complaints about the Australian based company you are referring to. (note - this response has nothing to do with the originator of this thread).

domania: Morning,

We've launched a new website to offer Cheap .NZ domain names from $17.95+gst per year and .Com domains from $16.95+gst per year + Very affordable web hosting.

We're aiming to be the best priced domains site but also have a FULL service knowledge base with step by step visual guides for our customers to easily set them selves up for things like email etc, there're quite a few devices however that we've not done these for so would be interested to learn which devices we're missing that are important to New Zealanders.

Hope you love Domania!!

Interesting. I currently have some .nz domains registered with Voyager - a company who I would like to move from.

Do you support IPV6 name server IP address records?

You must be confused. GoDaddy is a US company, not Australian.

Do I have to transfer a domain before I can setup an account?

Why is "control panel login" on a non standard port? (2222)

I've logged in and had a look.

The following would be good:

1. Set my own default name servers (saves having to retype them every time)

2. Able to transfer in domains without resetting Whois details.

Thanks for this Michael, setting default nameservers would be a neat feature, i'll pass this onto our developers to investigate.

When transferring domains to us you dont reset the WHOIS info however, it will retain this information from your current WHOIS.  Also when transferring it will retain your exsisting nameservers.

Cheers

1. If I navigate back to the home page after logging in, it shows a login box. This should not happen.

2. Is the transfer a manual process?

3. I see the word "fraud' quite prominently throughout your site. At $17.95+GST P/A you can't afford to take chances. It only takes 1 unpaid domain to wipe out the profit of several paid ones. The fact you mention 'fraud' so often (like on the domains listing page)  suggests you are worried about it and this doesn't look businesslike. I suggest you rename 'fraud' in the domains listing page to something innocuous like "Other" or "Other - please contact us".

I have setup an account and transferred a little used domain over. I will seriously consider transferring more based on the response to fixing any issues I find.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for this, very helpful feedback.  I've forwarded our developers your comments re: the login box etc, the Domain transfer process is automated, so domains will transfer instantly, however expiry dates etc update a few minutes later.  This is something we're working combining at the moment.

And in regards to "fraud" domains, we have built in systems to catch fraudulent transactions / domain registrations but youre right, it may make some uneasy seeing it so i've requested the "label" be removed.

Cheers!

There is no entry field to enter a nameserver IP address. Please advise.
