Hi all,

I have been a long time member here and I thought I would share my start up story with you.

We are a nimble organisation that helps businesses develop and upskill their people through learning. We understand in the modern world, staff often work in various corners of the country, and the world. The challenge is maintaining a high level of customer service, product knowledge and compliance without having everyone sit in a stuffy room for a couple of days every few months.

This is where we come in. We develop bespoke induction modules / programmes for deployment on a learning management system (LMS). eLearning is often mistakenly seen as being part of the "IT industry". While it is an advantage to understand what captures people's attention and engagement on the web and knowing how to use pieces of software, IT or programming skills aren't a necessity. What we do have is expertise in learning & development, from training through to instructional design.

We've seen a high demand so far this year in the area of health & safety. While we believe you can't and shouldn't replace a teacher in the classroom, eLearning delivers a consistent message across the board, and gives management teams the visibility they need.

One of the perks of the job is developing learning modules that incorporate animations and game elements (aka "gamification" - adding points and rewards to learning) to increase learner engagement and information retention.

Take a look at our website if you have a minute, and I would be keen to network with fellow eLearning practitioners here!
