Great pricing.

$4/week for 120MB data! $16/month for 480MB.

I can see the $4 a week being very popular. Data is not too bad. But if you look at it per month, you are just $4 away from having 1GB with 2Degrees. Although, Skinny uses the XT network so you get better coverage and speeds.

Problem with 2D is coverage and speeds. Mainly 'Broadband Zone' pricing issue as I am always travelling to different cities every now and then.

Don't forget it is an add-on, so you are paying at least another $4 for the weekly combo + $4 a week for 120mb of data. $8 per week. $32 per month. It's adding up!

The free SIM giveaway on Skinny's website I have been told is not working. So give them a call instead on 0800 475 4669 and they will send one out if you provide your details over the phone.

Number porting also has not been setup. They expect to have that functionality up and running with in a week's time.

DSE and Warehouse Stationary are selling the SIM's for $10.

10mb is just embarrassing in 2012. What can you really do on a smartphone with 10MB? Not much, unless you plan to turn everything off.

When you look at it that way your correct.  Would be better with the XT $20 option on prepay

TalkTextData    $20 per month    20minutes    1000text     200MB data

Loose Lips is good value.

$4/month - 40 minutes to any NZ network, 100 texts and 10MB data.
$16/month - 160 minutes to any NZ network, 400 texts and 40MB data.

Add another $16/month for 480MB data and for $32 you get 160 any NZ network minutes, 400 texts and 520MB data.

$4 a week for the "loose lips " combo is very sharp. Already requested a free sim.

This is not for smartphone users. It's for those who put price at front - students, people with a mobile handset in the glovebox.

If you want smartphone stuff you go to Telecom XT or Vodafone.
