One of my students has made a wonderful Android version of the yellow pages IOS app. Full white pages and yellow pages functionality. He would love some feedback and downloads.

I can't find this app. Has it been pulled from the market?

Yellow pages is a registered trademark so I expect he has to change at least the app name.

We thought we had official permission to use their db backend. We got it in writing, and every time we uploaded an app we sent an email about it to the guy. However apparently the person who gave it was not authorized to do so, or something ... maybe they are going to release their own app and didn't want competition? So we had to take them all down. I expect we will get permission eventually, afterall we are not in it for the money.

However we may have overstepped the mark by replicating their existing Iphone app, that was just a burst of enthusiasm from one of the students, and overlooked by me. :-)
All in all a good learning experience, for the students and ourselves.
