Final version will be released sometime in April. For a Beta, it's really good. The UI is metro and works without a hitch. Made couple of video calls using the HTC Titan and the other party on their laptop could see me and hear me fine.

Found first issue. I have an subscription under my account. The app does not pick up on that and keeps telling me that I need to add skype credit on my account.

Also, when you use the dialler and try and dial a number, it says something along the lines of 'not available yet'. Looks like you can only do skype to skype audio/video calls atm via this app.

it doesnt work when you're not running the app - no push notifications, no background tasks, there is no list of 'online' users, and there is no warning about taking/making a call over 3g data... i think they need to add a few features prior to release.

i give it a 2/5

The old UI problem I have complained about many times: there is no indication where you can tap to get more options...

To filter online contacts only, tap "Contacts" and you will see a filter list.

I think this is alpha quality and should not be called beta, nor released as it is.
