Any N8 owners in Auckland care to let me try my 64GB micro SDXC card in their phone?

Can you roll Anna back? I've done a remote wipe, which removes applications but doesn't remove Anna.

lyonrouge: So, I was planning on spending some cash to resurrect my N8 and thought to myself, best I do a little more research in case with testing I end up breaking it again. The general consensus on Nokia forums is that ?three finger suicide? has caused my problem (see earlier in this thread where I have performed Volume-Camera-Menu-Power reset), in this forum [Http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Nseries-and-S60-Smartphones/Simple-solution-to-Ovi-Store-prob...] I found this package link to OVI Notifications Support Package [http://betalabs.nokia.com/c?n=17451&t=http%3A%2F%2Fnds2.betalabs.nokia.com%2Freader%2FOvi_Notificati...], I installed this and now I have OVI store again.

Lesson Learned, only use Volume-Camera-Menu-Power as an absolute last resort, i.e. when the phone simply will not start.

Thanks Brent, do you know if there is an updated version of this for Anna Ovi_Notifications_Support_Package_Symbian3_v1.1.11118.sis ?

Not that I've come across.

Have you tried reinstalling Anna to see if the package resurrects?

I'm not sure how to do that. I change the certificate over to a externally signed one, the N8 did not like th change so I pointed it back to the old certificate, and remote wiped it using OWA. I applied Anna update 1/2 and 2/2 but I don't think that installs Anna itself, just the subsequent updates? That didn't work so I wiped it again, installed the support package, the opened the store icon (which opens the OVI page, which installs the store software) applied updates and did not work. Wiped again and did not install the support package, did not install the OVI store, went straight to updates then applied store, still not working.

Ironicall, I can you the desktop software to get all the software I want with the exception of the Panorama software, which is what I'm really after, so if I can not get the Store software to work, is there a way to ge the panorama SIS file?

Are you just wanting the plain Nokia Panorama app from the store? If so... Just go here and download it using your PC and install it using Ovi Suite (just have Ovi Suite open and your N8 connected when you open the SIS). It should work as long as your N8 and Ovi Suite connect to each other.

The file downloaded (panorama205_installer_215242.sis.dm) had no file association, I attempted to force OVI Suite to open the file but it performed no action?

You have to rename the file and drop the .dm off the end for that method to work.

TBH, it would probably be worth your while getting the handset sent to Nokia Care in Auckland so they can rebuild the firmware properly so you can actually use the Store application properly.

Have you thought about getting a public certificate for your Exchange so you don't continue to run into the issues you seem to experience across multiple platforms?

I have a public certificate. It was the migration from the internal cert to the public cert that trigger this latest wipe. Would a firm rebuild be a permanant solution or would it need to be reapplied every time I wipe?

And also modify the file in Notepad++. The better way is to plug your phone into Ovi Suite and log in, then log into store.nokia.com and use the 'Send to phone' option. It can then send the installer to Ovi Suite which will download it and do any .dm conversion for you.

It's the only app on the store I've encountered that does not allow the 'send to phone' option.

I found an update on the phone itself (not offered in the OVI suite). It upgraded my from phone from 022.014 to 025.007 but this did not fix the OVI Store connectivity issue. Also installed Nokia Drop but this could not connect either.

I've installed Gold and some space game to remove the "update available" indicator.

I've also noticed since the Anna upgrade my keyboard doesn't consistently reconnect. Retested it against the Galaxy and iPhone and works fine on those. The mouse still reconnects fine, but it's lost interest in the keyboard?

Has anyone tested it with a Wii remote, does the Wii remote pair in guest mode or does it loose it's pairing with the console?
