I am thinking of upgrading my Onkyo TX SR604. What is a ball park figure I could get for this. Here is a link for the specs.

Not unless you want to risk it going for a dollar. I know too many people burnt doing that. Put a realistic amount on it, and if it fails to sell, just drop it a bit each time.

With no video up sampling and only two hdmi inputs I would say about $175 max.

Agreed - Onkyo has been caned in retail stores, which only adds to the low resale value.
I'd hang onto it for a garage stereo... but that's just me.

Yeah I was thinking $150 as no chance of hd audio.

What do you mean, no HD audio? It plays 5.1 audio from myski(when available) fine.

HD audio refers to the newer uncompressed audio formats present on bluray discs.
Sky/freeview use the older DVD style Dolby digital compressed audio, which is fine but is a point of difference for someone looking to buy a new receiver.
As someone mentioned above, start high and drop the price, or keep it.

+1 on the $1 reserve. I've done hundreds of trades that way and it's been very successful for me - even on vehicles.

Only get a successful $1 res if you list it properly.

I have scored many a $1 bargain because people did a crap-house listing with a photo that looks like it was taken on a 10 year old mobile phone with grease on the lens.

Does it not support 7.1 PCM on the HDMI in?

The manual says this, Multichannel linear PCM (5.1 ch, 32–96 kHz, 16/20/24 bit)

To get around only 2 HDMI inputs I have a 5 port HDMI switch which will go with the amp when I sell it.

I didn't see it on the quick look I had over the specs.  If it can then push it as a selling point.  you'll just need a device that can do the HD audio decoding for you, ie PS3, fancier bluray player etc.

Yes you have to also pay to put up a photo/s. So if you only end up getting a $1 for it, you end up making nothing, if not a loss.

I have found putting a reasonably good start price, it is more successful. With the $1 reserve, you are relying on someone getting carried away, and paying too much. Sure it happens and sometime you can do very well, but it could depend on the object being sold.

It should do as the specs say it has HDMI 1.1 and 192 kHz/24-bit DACs
