Hi there,

A topice that is often embedded with data/internet distribution around the home of which I have read some great posts (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=34&topicid=13194), but just could not seem to extract the right components to aid me.

I am going to have the following:
    UHF aerial signal -> hub
    SkyTV dish signal -> hub
    Hub -> skyTV decoder
    Hub -> TVs around the house
    SkyTV decoder signal -> hub

What I am trying to find out is the "gadget(s)" that I will need in my hub to plug/patch all this together, that would enable:
    raw sky/freeview signal to a number of STBs around the house or
    skyTV decrypted signal to a number of TVs around the house - ie watch what ever is on sky at the time.

Thanks in advance.

Yoban

Ah thanks for that @illicit.

Am I correct that at the TV end I will need to split the signal out by RawSky/decoded sky/Freeview?

Which port would I plug the decoded sky signal in to - can see where the raw sky goes and would think that one of the five inputs would consume this?

Thanks @freitasm, had a feeling it was the wrong forum.

@Illicit - saw that link thanks and did give a high level look, but implied that the right signal would come to the right device.

Found this last night http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/multiswitches.htm which shows a quad LNB (could assume a single LNB + decoded sky would be the same inputs) and aerial as input, but needing a signal splitter at the destination - TV, STB, etc - which could be hidden in the wall/flush box.

May give the suppliers you recommended a call.

This too could solve my problem, but not as nice http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/input-output-satellite-multiswitch-p-51.html

And also this now that I know what to look for http://www.jayx.co.nz/Multi%20room%20digital%20satellite%20distribution.pdf

Thanks.
