This is my first foray into Geekzone and im not sure if i am posting this in the right place but here goes....

My nephew was gifted a pair of Dre Beats headphones while he was in the States, due to overuse and underlove they have broken (please forgive my lack of technical) The screws that hold one side of the slidey size extension bar have fallen out, as a result the headphones dont appear to work at all.

I cant return the headphones to the States for repair as I dont have any paperwork and they will cost a small fortune to ship back.

Can anybody suggest a good repair person in Wellington that i can take the headphones to for repair?

I have tried Harvey Normans as I know they sell them but they have recently 'parted ways' with their re-seller/authorised repairer and do not have another repairier at the present point in time.

Thanks

I had a pair of beats that failed as well, it was the headband that went with them. Overall they don't seem that robust, especially given how expensive they are.

Things like this aren't made to be repaired these days. A general electronics repair firm would probably be your best bet, but they probably charge $60/hr + and will need parts ordered from the US.

Overall they may not be worth fixing here. Postage to the US is pretty cheap really, if you can provide any evidence at all of the purchase date it may be best to have them fixed under warranty, or even pay them to fix them. I know they do have spare parts available.
