Wannabe Geek

Topic # 138901 21-Jan-2014 12:24 Send private message

Hi there.

I'm new here, so I thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. I'm not really a Geek. I just love technology and use it a lot (does that count?).

I live in Gisborne, am married and have a daughter, dog and cat. I love gardening, cooking, photography, guitar and reading (novels, I'm afraid - definitely counts me out of the Geek label!).

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you.

Cheers,

Michaela

You sound at least as Geek as me, so welcome! :)

I'm the housewife, and don't work in the tech industry, live north of Auckland, and help hubby with our construction and rental businesses. I also try to get our 19yo son studying so he can get into Navy

Thanks for your warm welcome. You're all right, of course: reading novels doesn't discount one from geekdom! I guess, because I don't consider myself worthy of the geek title, I just thought perhaps true geeks don't read novels a lot, but I concede the point! :)

Jevvv, I'm a housewife, too, and I also have a 19 year old, but of the opposite sex. She originally wanted to become a police officer, but she's had a few issues (health) so that's probably not likely at this stage.

I might point out, however, that my Geekzone status has me listed as a wannabe geek!...lol.

Me :)
