Hi

Anyone know how to get a Kindle HD delivered to NZ? I am not goign to USA to buy one and don't know anyone else that is goign there either.

I tried to use my NZ credit card to pre-order the Kindle HD but sicne it wasn't a USA c/c it wouldn't accept it. Perhaps a OneSmart card could work??

Is it possible to purchase the device from Amazon and then get it delivered to a USA freight forwarding (like shipitto.com)?

Anyone bought the normal Kindle Fire from Amazon? Did they have any of the above challenges?

Perhaps order from our Amazon affiliate link and use the new NZ Post service YouShop?

Yes, you can pre-order and have it delivered to a US forwarding address (like Shipito.com). You'll need a US credit card, though. You can getone from usunlocked.com, for example.

A kindle fire is not much use in NZ without some hacking. It doesn't have access to the google play store and the amazon app store is region blocked.

I want a kindle paperwhite. Looks awesome.
I guess I will have to look at shipitto, or similar, or wait until available in NZ. :(

Anyone traveling to the US later in the year?

Cheers,
Joseph

Hey folks

I suggest trying to get one thru these guys:

http://www.expansys.co.nz/tablet-pcs+ipads/coming-soon/

They have listings for the Fire, the Paperwhite etc.  They are pretty good at keeping release dates up to date also so you know where you are at in the queue.  They take NZ credit cards.  Ship from either HK or Singapore, reasonably priced and I have had a couple of phones delivered without hassle.  Not affiliated in any way but do recommend.

Enjoy.

+1

I have also ordered stuff from Expansys and had no problems at all.  Delivery was prompt and the one time I needed something repaired under warranty service, they looked after me and got it sorted.

I'm going in October and intend to try and get one myself, though shipping and delivery time frames look very very tight so I might not be able to.
