I'm a Kiwi, but haven't lived in NZ for two years.
Can anyone help me, as the Subject states I'm after Recommendation for Media Player, but it must be USB3 Compatible.
Where I am I tend to download most television programmes to 1TB Hard drives(USB3), play through a media player and then HDMI cable to my Toshiba LCD Television.
Doesn't need to be fancy, just have heaps of file formats already loaded.
I have friend coming to visit shortly and he could bring it up to me. Thanks for your help.
your HDDs are most likely backwards compatible with USB2 when connected to USB2 they will just transfer at USB2 speeds. so you shouldn't need to worry about USB3 requirement, for playing back videos there wont be any difference in speed.
Took my USB3 Hard Drives to Bangkok and yup they did work on USB2 Media Players, so I purchased a Western Digital TV Live (WDBGXT0000NBK) for NZD150 from a WD Shop, a little bit cheaper than NZ, but is fantastic!
