My telecom broadband is down again (in Henderson). No ppp but has ADSL signal. Doesn't look good. Router reboot does not help.

As per the other thread.

I too have the same problem and am trying to find out the story and an approx ETR.

I have a nasty feeling it's the same issue as this morning, since I have seen tweets that other ISPs are impacted too.

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

Me too, in Albany at the moment. Happened pretty much at 9:45pm too. It was out last night from about 1am until 8am-ish!!

Telecom tier 1 support had hundreds of calls she said last night and don't even get someone to work on it until after 7am. Fair enough it's one person but that many and they won't sort out a probably simple authentication issue on their end? Now I'm on hold to speak to tier 1 - their recording said it was resolved. not so. And they will keep me on hold another hour so that tier 2 can go home for the night and not have to escalate it until the next day with yet another 8hrs without Internet.

I'm only holding on in the hopes I can convince tier 1 to escalate and solve it before they take off for the whole night and leave us on the dark side of the moon in this internet blackout... grr
