Good to know! Cheers for that.

Have one here with Cyanogenmod running on it, will give it a go!

Saw your post at breakfast. Don't you guys sleep!
Tried the manual update check. All there was was a 1.5Mb update :(
However that would appear to be a prep for the main download. So Jellybean update has been installed now :)
I hope the smile remains. One of the reasons I am a little more relaxed about Telecom's tardiness with updates these days than I used to be is hopefully all the wrinkles have been ironed out by other providers beta testing on their customers rather than me.

From what I've seen elsewhere the Jelly Bean update finally brings USB OTG support to the One X (if it works the same as it does on my HTC Butterfly its still a lot more limited than in the Samsungs, however USB memory sticks and keyboards and mice work, and they also have support for USB audio, which is huge for me personally).

Well, unrooted my One X.
Got stuck in boot loop
Panicked.
Downloaded the 1.26 RUU  (If rooted on stock ROM this maybe the best way to resort to stock)
recovered (phew!)
So done about 4 updates, and just on the Jelly bean one now :)

What really is different with it other than that power saving tickbox in the notifications that I am yet to find how to remove?

Pretty much outlines it all.

Butter! Am quite surprised at the difference!
Two things I don't like:
In car dock when homescreen is in landscape the individual power widgets don't work. I have to use the power bar widget which I hate.
Removing the hide keyboard button from the keyboard! What the hell?

I would hardly call it butter. more like a flash animation compared to the powerpoint presentation grade animation before.

How can I remove that power save option taking the prime spot in notifications?

First thing I noted that was different was infinite scrolling of the home screens. Then there's google now, cosmetic things like different switchlight colour, extra camera operations, revised power presentations, MTP instead of USB mounting when connected to a PC.
Things seem to run smoother (possibly placebo affect) and I believe I am getting better battery life. I use Apex as a launcher so haven't spent a huge amount of time using Sense 4+ so I'm sure there are other tweaks.
I like the improved Google Search that comes with Jellybean. It seems to understand my NooZild accent when using the voice function.

Edit: Can get rid of the power saver notification by turning the function off :/

I turned all 4 options on there off and the notification is still there. Is it somewhere else to turn off?
