Currenly holidaying in taupo, and have jst started having problems with my telecom iphone 5 not connecting to mobile data. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or has my phone crapped out? Was connecting easiky earlier on but isnt at present.

Same issue here in Auckland. Intermittent connectivity. TXT and voice all working, only cellular data has intermittent issues. Tried various APNs, but still no go.

I'm also in Taupo and found my data connection was either going slow or not at all. I was unable to login to my bank. Seems to be a little better right this second though.

And now its fine. Although im kinda relieved it was everybody and not just me, in case it was my phone that was the problem.

Seems to be an issue affecting XT, I know of somebody who has a lot of telemetry devices and they're all down.

Telecom posted an update on their service alert page:

We are currently experiencing some issues with mobile Data services for all Customers located north of Palmerston North . Our technicians are currently working on this problem. At this stage our representatives are unable to provide any additional information. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Should be sorted for the vast majority of customers now.  A small minority of customers may still be impacted but a restart of your phone should sort it.
