One of the guys at work here has joined the darkside and bought a iPhone 4s from Telecom at Silvia Park. Great service he said. But coming from an Android with it's user friendly "My Telecom" icon to check account info he is a little lost on how to do this with the iPhone apart from dialing *333.

Any where I can point him to ??

TIA.

The Telecom web portal which contains all this info. The Andoid app will no doubt just be be screen scraping this data.

Bookmark m.telecom.co.nz on the device as that takes you to the Telecom Mobile homepage. From there one of the options is Your Telecom

If you bookmark m.telecom.co.nz/yourtelecom this will take you straight to Your Telecom. I believe there is a way to add the bookmark to the main page.

Hi Akia.

As he didn't have that setup he went to do a password resend and got

"System Error

We are experiencing technical difficulties and cannot complete your request. Please try again later.

Set your Mobile Password"

Something wrong with the site I suspect. First visit I've ever made says I've entered the incorrect information more than 5 times, try again in 30 mins.

That's correct only works on 3G which is a bit of a pain. I think you can use the consume app with telecom.

I had problems getting this to work.

I get a page asking for a password, but, I have no password (being a new telecom customer).

So, I clicked 'request new password', and typed in my number and was sent a code via sms.

I entered the code, my number, my new password , and it was accepted.

But when I try to sign on I get this...

"Your session has timed out."

Telecom need an app. This is too difficult.

It should work over WiFi or via internet but not natively unless you turn WiFi off, .. Via the internet is how I check our prepay Tsticks . I can currently login and check usage of these Tsticks but if this fault remains then I'm screwed if the password expire as they do....
I get this error on that when I ask for a password reset as well.

I have put a bookmark on my home screen and it works fine over 3G.
Over wifi it will ask for password so I just don't use it over wifi.

Can't get Consume to work over Wifi or 3G, although it does say in the Help that sometimes it takes up to 3 days for a carrier to process the registration. I signed up on friday.

+1 for an App :-)

Passwords should reset only once every year as long as it's longer than 6 chars, if you PM me your mobile number, your Sim Card number (so I can prove your who you say you are) and a desired password I can set it directly.

There could be an issue with your account too (which you get an error after you have successfully logged in with your password), which I know how to get resolved as well.

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

It looks like for some reason the reset password link in http://m.telecom.co.nz/yourtelecom is broken. You can still reset it if you go to https://mobile.xtra.co.nz/pwm/newpassword ..

I can still login in to all my Telecom devises via the "yourtelecom" link on line..

If you wanted to set your check your usage using your browser you need to go to: http://sphone.telecom.co.nz/mobileonliness

If you wanted to check via your mobile using the reduced "mobile browser aware version" you go to:
http://m.telecom.co.nz/yourtelecom

The mobile.xtra.co.nz is a legacy system which only supports CDMA handsets (not XT, if you put a XT number in there it will tell you "sorry your phone is not a Telecom Phone") and shouldn't be used if you wanted to check any of your services.  It's going to get switched off very shortly, so I would only use one of the two links above, depending on what you need.
