When I click the "Sign in with Twitter" button in my profile i get the following message from Twitter:

Whoa there! There is no request token for this page. That's the special key we need from applications asking to use your Twitter account. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake.

Tried with Firefox and Chrome, doesn't seem to matter that both browsers remember my twitter details or if I try logging on this screen or not. Also setup new Geekzone account and tried linking straight away, no luck there either.

I had a look around, spending 45 minutes of Xmas eve on this. It seems Twitter is not sending back one of the keys we need to use to the next authentication step. Unfortunately Twitter changes their API like we change clothes.

They are also deprecating their API v1 in March 2013. I am seriously considering if we will continue supporting them. They have no interest in providing external developers with decent support it seems, with their latest move into limiting API usage, etc.

I won't look into this again for another week. If it works then, fine. If they have something report, fine. But if nothing then we will reevaluate then.
