I forgot to reload... both images are giving the error message when I hit reload. The avatar was browser cached before (at least that's working!)

I suspect the ISPs are either having cache problems or international problems. More like something got cached sometime ago and they aren't refreshing yet.

Will have to wait and see.

I have temporarily moved cdn.geekzone.co.nz back to our own IP addresses so it should start working now, unless it's cached by your ISP.

I was getting the error message on both links using WxC. Okay now with the move off cdn...

Ive noticed slow downs & timeouts intermittently in international traffic for the last week. It seems to effect various ISP's (orcon, telecom, vodafone & clear). It was worse last week, not too bad now except for the odd hickup. Maybe this issue is related.

I mainly noticed pages loads were slow, with long pauses in the content rendering parts of some webpages. The odd bad gateway message, that vanishes if I hit reload. Geekzone avatars have been visible for me however.

I'm not getting any avatars, CSS or most images. Using Opera via Vodafone.

If I switch to IE or Firefox then it works ok (but I use Opera as my main browser). This would suggest a browser issue, but I've cleared the cache and checked that I hadn't disabled images or author CSS.

Accessing http://css.geekzone.co.nz/default.css (which I assume is the main style sheet for the forums?) just gives me "Geekzone is currently down for maintenance." message.

Thanks for the reminder on CSS... I thought last night I should update it to move away from css.geekzone.co.nz and have done this now.

Can you please look at the source and tell me if you are getting it from "www" or "cdn"?

Thanks... Good, the filters are working. Opera is actually pretty poor in some parts - we serve the css from the main site now for Opera and mobile browsers, from cdn to other browsers.
