Topic # 91241 9-Oct-2011 14:41 Send private message

I have made a small change and have now limited support for BBCode. The following tags are allowed:

[b]
[i]
[s]
[u]
[url]
[url=]
[img]
[img=]
[youtube]

Those tags are terminated with [/...]

These are effective now in the Quick Reply box and in the rich text editor. Note that if you are using the rich text editor you should be using the toolbar icons instead. Also note that when you paste a URL in the rich editor it will automatically hyperlink it. In this case the tag will be incorrect - so you should use either the rich text auto hyperlink feature or the [url] tag.

Note that when you use the [img] tag in the rich text editor you might see the automatic hyperlink happening. In this case select the hyperlink and click the button to break it, otherwise the [img] tag will be corrupted.

This is to say that if you see the rich text editor you should really be using it - click the buttons in the toolbar to add elements.

There's still one problem (the automatic hyperlink in Quick Reply box) no longer works - for now. Fixing soon.

Yes, there's.

By the way the YouTube tag just needs the Video Id in the middle...

No, it's [s], according to http://www.bbcode.org/examples/?id=4.

I've updated the gallery.asp to also list a BBCode tag for each uploaded image so people who can't use the IMAGE button in the rich text editor can now easily copy and paste (even to the quick reply box) the code for each image.
