Wouldnt this cause people to make rubbish posts just to get a badge? - like post in the introductions to get one, and lodge a fault? And would prefer to see the highest badge of each type My 2 cents worth :)

We already have the number of posts and stars under your name and we don't see this problem. We can easily get people posting rubbish in their proper place, as we've always done. Yes, we could do something like that... Still, people could fudge with their user agent string anyway. But not a bad idea. The IPv6 one is good... Only when have IPv6 back on track though. Could be used as a way of standardising signatures as part of the ongoing "do we need signatures" debate. Allow for example one line of text and one line of show off your arsenal icons.
