What does this mean? That I have to enable ads in my browser to be taken seriously?

Personally I randomly thought it might have been contributing to the problem in some way by altering the layout and it would be good to rule that out. Looks like that was not the problem at all.

But the second part is that Geekzone exists and is maintained, enhanced and improved in part from contributions created by per-impression advertising. You should add an exception rule for Geekzone.

If you do not want to see the ads, and want some other features as well you can purchase a subscription.

Hadn't thought of that. Still in dialup mode where ALL ads had to be blocked to receive anything useful. Only had the satellite for 9 months after 4 years of rural dialup!
