I saw there was some talk of adding Tapatalk support to GZ. Is that still a possibility? Any ideas if/when it might happen? Would be great for keeping up to date when on the run. Or is there another way I don't know about?

Just visit the forums in your device's browser.  It automatically switches to mobile view.

Never liked Tapatalk myself - the idea that they can charge for access to your forum is just stupid.

We are working on an API, not Tapatalk support. The mobile version of the site is quite fast though.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any reason there is no Tapatalk support? I was under the impression it was a free plugin for the forum host? Or is does the GZ forum not support this type of addon?

I have just started using Tapatalk and quite like the idea of a native app on my iPhone with all the forums I read in once spot to browse.

They have their own API and the forum needs to support it. We run a custom forum software, developed in house.

If you switch to the full version on your mobile then it will always show the full version. Just tap the link to the mobile version at the bottom of all pages and you will be back to automatic switching.

Related to the mobile site, it seems Opera Mobile receives a white background/less formatting than when i use other android browsers?

Tapatalk is a great app and I have a number of forums i subscribe to so makes it easy to read rather than mucking around with mobile websites that are hard to use but ok to just read.

As to paying to use forums, all I can say is that we all pay in some way be it bandwidth or time so this isn't an issue and tapatalk costs very little in the scope of things.

Be interesting to canvas GZ peeps and see how many actually use it, we may be surprised.

Did I miss anything? I didn't see any mention of "paying to use forums" in this topic?
