Serious: A little bridy has told me more announcements are on the cards for tomorrow...

Nothing yet. They should sack their entire marketing dept. as through these forums and their own, people are really starting to get annoyed and some have already left Vodafone over this secret drip feeding.

Unlike us most people do visit this or their forums and would just look at the offering and though VF was weak and not value for money by now. They would not know that allegedly there is more to come.

+1 What PEOPLE are interested in when they are with an Internet Company is Internet DATA. We want DATA. The extra 20GB does not suffice, SNAP quadrupilicated their Data! Telecom is now at 120GB! We want DATA, we are Vampires! We want Data and we want it now!

Agree 100% and edited my post to make it make more sense.

I agree with this. A lot of customers hoping that VF would bring their data cap inline with other providers would be disappointed. There was nothing in the email that VF release advising that there was more to come. Why not say.....

"We've got these great exciting new services/plans/offerings coming later in the month so stay tuned."

indeed, im paying for internet, so i care about 1/ speed of that internet and 2/ the data cap. Speed cant change so that leaves the datacap, i dont care what little addons Vodafone might offer unless its either

1/ a discount in the monthly fee of atleast 25$  (im on ultimate + double your data)
2/ free national data

theres nothing besides those 2 above that will keep me on Vodafone at this point, i care not for any addons like free streaming of youtube or something along those lines they might come up with.

Free YouTube like Snap does or free TVNZ/3 TVOD. that would free up a lot of data as I think that is what my flatmate uses up half of our data on.

discount would be nice, ild love free national data as well.. but in terms of national data, its said to be too hard for someone not technically minded to understand (simple webscript resolving hostnames and checking ip location could fix this - hell ild go a step further and willingly make some sort of a extension/plugin for firefox and chrome)

another issue with it is, the amount of people who will pay for say the 5GB pack, get a NZ based VPN and then they have a cheap connection for as much data as they want..

sadly, the birdy that was rummer to be dropping its announcements seems to have been caged up somewhere..

Yep Free national data is all that will keep me as well (80GB/$100 is not value for money anymore), I have been asked to wait and I have, I did my homework and have all the competition offers, now VF has to step up or they will be losing my custom.

I wonder even if the VF marketing Dept. even know when they are going to announce anything?

loganjames:But since your here johnr any word on data caps?

Have you read any of this thread?

I think he means everyone on here wants to know sooner than originally planned. There seems to be quite a lot of demand to know the plans sooner than "by June 30th"! *Hint*

Cat will be out of the bag before the 30th and I don't mean the 29th either

Maybe not the 29th but bloody close enough to really hack off Vodafone's customers.

As the page and a half prior to this post, Customers are feeling really ripped off.

wills: actually mostly it's the same 3 guys going on and on and on and on and on....

Serves no purpose, marketing dept aren't here. Call them and complain directly. This is a general tech chat forum that has a few VF people who come here to TRY and help.

Yes it's frustrating but is the bellyaching going to make it happen faster? Nope.

If you feel as ripped off as you say why don't you just leave Vodafone? Honestly I think you've made your point. Over and over again.

John doesn't control Vodafones product releases and he tries to keep us inFormed as best he can. I really don't think your sniping at him is justified.

What on earth do people watch on YouTube?!!?  I watch the occasional instruction video but that's only a few times per month.  Most of the stuff on YouTube seems to be people slipping over and hurting themselves, or cats fighting with themselves in mirrors...

OT but the kids and I watched an hour of the slowmo guys on youtube the other night. It had our 9 and 10 year old boys in stitches! And it was also mildly scientific...
