Just a random question - Vodafone as far as i know put in a very tall tower at Mystery Creek last year for extra coverage.
But not only that, they seemed to have a COW up on the hill too only about 50m from the main site, and on top of that the Vodafone Truck is a mobile cell site as well. So thats a new (i assume high capacity) site, a COW and then the COW on the Vodafone truck?
Quite a full on setup if so! Didn't manage to snap a pic.

Am i right in thinking Vodafone is the only one who tends to bring in COW's to events? Telecom already has a site there, and as far as i know 2degrees is roaming on vodafone out in that area.

2degrees had a CoW at Fielddays, and quite a lot of other events

Ah, that must have been a 2degrees COW then. I've yet to see a telecom or 2degrees one IRL.

And if i'm correct, the new very large tower is a vodafone one too - looks like vodafone went all out on coverage this year then.

What frequencies does a COW usually broadcast on? I assume just 2100mhz for 3g, but for 2g is it 9000 or 1800? Is the voda mobile showroom truck the same as a standard COW? It looks like it has a few less panels on the mast.
