This is rather a moot point as it was the final reason I needed to jump from VF a while back, but when I'd created the account they'd made a spelling error in my name. Purely cosmetic and didn't really matter, but when just as a casual query I asked them if they could correct it I was told "no how, no way" - apparently the only way their system would support changing my name would be to completely ditch my existing account and recreate it from scratch, and I'd incur costs for having to do this.

I didn't believe this, so I got the manager at the time to verify it (VF Lambton Quay) and he reiterated the same point.

At that stage I said WTF, wandered across the road and changed provider.

Is the system really that tied down that a spelling error can't be fixed without major administration? Is it still the case?

There seems to be a dearth of VF stores in Wellington these days too with the LQ one being renovated (again) - are they switching to relying more heavily on online sales?

"You are" = "You're" - Not "Your".  "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There".  You probably mean "lose" not "loose".  There's no such word as "Alot".

On the internet, wasting time, since '89.

This is incorrect changing a spelling error in a name takes 2 seconds

Can you please PM me the mobile number so I can check over the notes who advised you this,

Steve sorry about the experience you got but fixing spelling errors is very easy as I have pointed out already,
