Hi, I'm on Vodafone's Ultimate Pack Red plan using the HG556a router with the latest firmware. I usually get around 15mb download speed but since around last week my speed has dropped significantly. When I check the Service Status page of the router router, it says:
You are connected.Your speed is 7.6 Mb/s.

Connected to the Internet via ADSL

I've read somewhere 7.6mb is the max speed for ADSL? I am really clueless about this and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Reboot your router.
Check your home wiring and filtering (isolate, replace, remove extension cords and double phone plugs).
Force your router to ADSL2+ if possible.
Replace your filter.
