Hi,

We’re moving to Nelson and according to Chorus, our house is in a fibre area - does VF offer this to customers yet?  Their website just has a register your interest page - any idea when it’s likely to be available?

Cheers

AFAIK VF arn't offering any plans un UFB

If you push them for an answer thay will most likely reply with "We don't comment on things  that may or may not happen in the future"

So basically wait or find a different ISP

Don't think so. Look at an ISP who does - quite a few now.

Last I heard unofficially expect to see something from VF towards the end of Q1 2013 - around the same time as Telecom.

Do you know if it's in a UFB or BoF fibre area? If BoF area then only Xnet can provide you service there.

Not sure how to tell the difference. None of the ISP’s I’ve looked at seem to offer fibre there yet, but the Chorus website indicates it’s available.  It’s a street full of new houses too so I assume it is there.
