So my prepay SIM was disabled.

I asked a Vodafone support person why, and they gave me the predictable line "if you don't add money to it at least once a year its disabled".

Thing is I have added money on it within the year. I don't have exact dates but twice this year I topped up. 99% sure of it because I needed to use my mobile more for work. But of course now the element of doubt is in my head (even though I'm nearly certain).

The support team told me "sorry we can't re-activate SIM cards".

That is it.

Is there anything I can / should do? It seems like a load of old bullocks.

No way it's bullocks, I look after the Prepay IN and it's rock solid

It's 13 months from last top up not 12 months for a Prepay deactivation, 12 Months is credit expiry from last top up

We also send a reminder SMS 10 days before the Prepay deactivation happens advising to topup in the next 10 days, If the handset is not on then the SMS with expire in 3 days

PM me the mobile number and it's easy to check

Hello,

I checked my messages and yep, it is my fault. Last time I topped up was September 2011, and it died on October 2012.

I must have confused it with an IOU or something.

IOU did once show as a topup when I looked, but from talking to friends that was fixed quite some time ago.

I put reminders in my google calander to topup my sims that I seldom use after having a couple of 2degrees ones expire on me. Highly recommend putting reminders in when you top up.

Well john couldn't get my old sim working again, but he sent me a new one and bound my old phone number to it totally for free. :D

Thanks! Now I can use my old number and take advantage of the new prepay plan.
