"If you are a new SKY customer a 12 month minimum term applies. Early termination charges will apply if you close your SKY services within this term, these will depend on the services you have and the remaining term on your contract. An additional installation fee may apply if you opt to take multiroom."
Then there is something about half price sky sports (the offer I was given) about signing up for a new 12 month term: http://www.vodafone.co.nz/entertainment/tv/sky/half-price-sky-sport/
"If you're on a Naked Broadband plan or an eligible home phone and broadband pack, and have SKY with Vodafone, you can get SKY Sport for half price. You'll pay just $13.17 a month (normally $26.34) on top of your standard SKY monthly subscription and your SKY joining fee is free on a 12 month term (normally $99)."
This states the Sky joining fee is free on a 12 month term, but again, I was already with SKY and was not joining Sky. All I was saving was a mere $13 a month (half priced Sky sport) which equates to about $156 saving per year. How can Vodafone possibly charge me $280 to end the contract early?!
I thought the main advantage of switching Sky to Vodafone was to get the convenience of ONE bill/invoice to make payments easier?! This is outrageous!
I'll be transferring my Sky back to Sky and now am considering changing ISP too.
