I see this topic has run its course.

The lesson is not be an ass. "Just saying" is not a get out jail free card. The OP was quite restrained in the topic and I can see why he got irritated.

Hi guys. Requested an unlock from freitasm. Not sure if the question is answered on the new contract term with VF. I am thinking of switching my sky to VF. I tried yesterday night twice to get through to the CC. However the overseas based one kept disconnecting me or hanging up after a wait. I also got a "we are having trouble connecting you at this stage" msg a few times. Probably a seperate topic on VF's call centre governance.

I am on a month to month plan with sky and wanted to switch to VF to take advantage of half price sports. Does that mean I will be asked to move to a 12 month term if I switch? I do not want to lock myself in to another 12 month term at this stage.

Hi Malingo - apologies for the call centre woes: we were having some IVR issues at the time I understand. As far as SKY goes, you will be required to commit to a 12 month contract to get any kind of special deal, such as the discount you're referring to.
