Its about time,

They have been mulling this over since (and probably well before Aug 2008) 4.5 years later.

Is this likely to be a consumer launch? Or just targeting corporate customers?

And will the iPhone 5 be a supported handset, or are the frequencies not compatible?

The Vodafone iP5 is Bands 1,3,5 isn't it? Band 3 being 1800 which VF currently utilise and is compatible with Australia? Would make sense.

Don't quote me on the facts.

He's organising a last minute LTE Master Splitter to be installed.
We don't want to run into the same debacle XT had when it tried to launch causing interference to Vodafone's network.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

He's busy taking speedtest screenshots to post here tomorrow morning. And getting that master splitter installed in each cell site.

He was watching Serious Crash Unit tonight which was about a motor cyclist being killed in a tragic accident.  The deceased was a good friend of him.

Got this info from his twitter feed.

It is very sad.

I was invited to a breakfast tomorrow (Thursday) morning at Vodafone AKL. I declined as I would have to leave home around 530am to get there on time. I will be joining via a voice conference.

"OK, we admit it. We?ve been keeping a very big secret. But we?re ready to show you just what we?ve been up to ? and we think you?ll like it. Join us for breakfast tomorrow where our CEO, Russell Stanners, will reveal all of the story. We do encourage you to come if you can ? this really has to be seen."

Having said that, a lot of people will disappointed if it is something else. But it could be many other things...

Oh wouldn't it be funny if it turns out it's just the re branding of TelstraClear / integrating all their billing systems.
