I have been looking for wireless broadband options in Wellington also, and one that I am thinking about is Gasp by nzwireless, info at http://www.gasp.co.nz . It seems faster and more stable than whoosh based on what I've seen on their website, but I'm going to continue with research.

Business or Residential? xtreme networks also have wireless options but if you're only after a residential option you'll choke on the prices.
