Hi team

I've got my brand new Xbox and despite Bill Gates I want to join Xlive, so I've equipped my Xbox with the wireless adaptor to connect to my above modem and it just can't see it. Xbox Wifi has a red LED light on so is powered and I've even fired up my Wifi DSL router 30 cm away from my Xbox 360 and it still doesn't see it. My settings are all minimal security (none) , SDDI = DLINK etc so it isn't hard at all. Any laptop that has had centrino onbaord has connected seamlessly with this router before so I'm confused. ANy help from those out there that know way better than I or have some experience would be most appreciated

Cheers

is the router UPnP certified and enabled? my Xbox can get through fine although it's a different Dlink router (DI-524) and despite it isn't labelled as UPnP and connected through ethernet.

Make sure it has received an IP address from the router, and if not, then check to see if DHCP is enabled or not, otherwise set a static IP in the range of the router.

I'd suggest try wired connection and see if you can get an IP or get through to internet via Xbox 360 first.
