Topic # 102012 14-May-2012 13:50 Send private message

I have been given the task of setting one of these systems up, all pretty straight forward, just a couple of things I am hoping someone can help me with,

I want to get rid of the "please leave your message after the tone" prompt that automatically attaches itself to the end of your unavailable message, does anyone know if this is possible as it's right annoying,

Also I want to set up a sidecar to have *72 (followed by cell phone number) as and extensions so I can press a button to automatically set call forward if anyone heads out of the office,

Has anyone tried this before if so please help as dealing with Cisco is like pulling teeth,

thanks

No to both of these sorry....
You don't have any option to change the Voicemail Prompts, the AA prompts yes (upto 20) but not VM
CFA is a soft key by default on the phone however you have to set the destination each time.

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

Thanks for that info, just wondering then if it is possible to setup say three night modes to go to differnent numbers, you would think with all this VoIP carry on going on they would have simple features like this on there system,

another pet hate is the missed calls when using a hunt group even though someone has answered the call, you'd think someone would work this out,

cheers

Around the $1000 dollar mark for the PBX then a couple of hundred per phone, not badly priced reallly compared to a PC based system, but lacking in some common sense feratures like remote extensions, soft phones and all that stuff that we all want

similar price to an atcom IP08 with 4FXO but no gig ports and wifi however a far more flexible pbx.

my understanding is that these ciscos don't have any QOS mechanism - is this true ?

I have setup a few 3CX and GUI based Asterix systems and true they are all a lot more flexible,

It is supposed to handle QOS but not very well from the reading I have done, it really is a base PBX and nothing more, the UC500 series is a lot more flexible and allows the features of the open source systems but at three times the price,

Personally myself definately asterix box is all I would go for but for some reason people love seeing cisco plastered all over there offices
