I have two questions. 1)Is the SPA303 a Good Phone ? 2Im looking for a provider that has free local calls and good rate to South Africa(Not that important) how simple is it to set the phone up on the Home network? Thanks

Thanks On 2Talk a $10 plan would give you 2000 local mins and 250 national/international mins then 0.11 to Sth Africa. $20 plan would give you 4000 local and 1000 national/intl mins. Don't know too much about your phone but on 2Talk - if you don't know what you are doing then you may need some help getting it set up.

Thanks 1. I'll let you know, I just ordered 2 of them. 2. 2Talk as someone just said. 3. My basic understanding is you can configure them in the same sort of way as the ATA's and 2Talk have all the stuff on their web site about that, but if you're not in a hurry I'm happy to share a provisioning file with you to set it up. Best thing you can do for any Cisco/Linksys SPA device is load up sbiddle's tone and dial plan. Makes the whole thing so so so much better. Have a look in the sticky above.

no SA not part of their plan minutes ..Plan minutes are on the web page. Have been using it for about 3 years now. http://www.slingshot.co.nz/italkplans $11 bucks gets you 500 minutes to many countries, including South Africa (which is why we have it). The missis has to keep in touch daily with the family. If thats not enough, upgrade to the $21 plan, for 1500 minutes The bonus is that the $11 also includes all lan lines in NZ. As well as cheap calls to mobiles. Never had a problem with the italk service. Offense can never be given, only taken ...

Signed up to Italk on the weekend and got the SPA303 today Tried http://voipzone.co.nz/spaconfig.cfg but doesn't seem to work with the phone, Is there anyway I can confirm that it is trying to use the Config? (All the Dial-plans and everything are still default) after the restart. Thanks

Just check you have enter it properly for starters. Make sure you have 'provision enable' set to yes. And change all the resync timers down real low. When it gets the config the 'resync periodic' will be 604800 and you know it has worked. then just take the url out of the config rule and you are good to go. I used it just today on an SPA112 and it worked fine.

My Next and last question Hopefully :) With Italk is there anyway I can get my Hard phone and Soft phone (Acrobits on the Iphone) to ring at the same time (Some how give them different extensions and get both extensions to ring?)
