I've never had to dial the area code for a local call. unless your using an 028 or 0800 number, then your dial plan would be useful :o) EDIT Just tried it on my 0800 line and it works. As my 0800 line is the last of 4 lines on my PABX it is rearly used to make outgoing calls

berend: Why ??? Because you have to dial 09 in front of your number with this dial plan. With my change you can simply dial a local number like a land line allows you to do. I think your missing the point berend.... The dial plan has already taken care of 7 digit (local) and 9 digit (National) dialling, you do not have to dial a 03, 04 , 09 etc The very first part of the config covers 7 digit dialing [2-9]xxxxxx, and the other part I highlighted covers National 9 digit dialing, Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well

Am busy organising to free my current 09 number and transfering to 2talk. So you seem to suggest that 2talk would automatically append 09 when I have an incoming 09 number. I'll try that when my number is released by Vodafone.

The dial plan has already taken care of 7 digit (local) and 9 digit (National) dialling, you do not have to dial a 03, 04 , 09 etc The very first part of the config covers 7 digit dialing [2-9]xxxxxx, and the other part I highlighted covers National 9 digit dialing, But it doesn't work. If I dial a 7 digit number here, it ain't going nowhere.

Thats got nothing to do with the Dial Plan and everything to do with the service provider, ITSP's should allow 7 digit local dialling, if not something is wrong, Steves dial plan is designed to allow local calling and follows the National Dial plan, changing it to what you are stating is not required and effects local dialling. Who are you using for Voice Services ? Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well

Every call is a toll call for you which requires adding an area code to every call you make. Nothing needs changing in my dialplan, you just need to remember to add the 03/04/06/07/09 at the front of each and every call you make. Once you have a phone number in a local calling area every call you make within that LCA only requires 7 digits. *Need help configuring your Linksys ATA or IP Phones for New Zealand? sbiddle: I've made a small change to the original file to fix the ringtone cadence and have changed the busy tone to timeout after 30 seconds. I've also created two additional files: http://nzvoipzone.com/spacustom.cfg This file has no ability to dial 3 digit numbers except for numbers in the 100-199 range. This avoids the issue of a delay after the 3rd digit. http://nzvoipzone.com/spapbx.cfg This is a copy of the spacustom file but has a predigit of 1 loaded before all number ranges so 1 can be used as a predigit / escape digit if you are using a PBX and want to use this. From my understanding there are three files: 1) http://voipzone.co.nz/spaconfig.cfg 2) http://nzvoipzone.com/spacustom.cfg 3) http://nzvoipzone.com/spapbx.cfg I'm wanting to confirm the differences between them, which I believe is only with the dialplan. 1) spaconfig allows three digit extensions, and does not require the use of 1 to get an external line. 2) spacustom does not allow three digit numbers (except in the 100-199 range), and does not require the use of a 1 to get an external line. 3) spapbx allows three digit extensions, and requires the use of a 1 to get an external line. Can you please confirm that these are the only differences between the files. Also, out of curiosities sake, are there any other config files? If so, what are the differences for them?

Is this file still available? I have tried putting it in my PAP2T but no deal. Have all the right boxes checked but it just wont download the config. Have tried to write my own dial plans for a while but this config is just so much better and broader than I could manage, also more normal sounding tones would be nice.

That's all good. At least I know it isn't me being retard! Edit: Just re-checked the PAP2T then and it has all of your config in it! Assuming you have put the file back up? Dialing is so fast!!

hi For the past few days I have been checking the link to the config file has been dead - as has the url voipzone.co.nz Is this temporary or has the site gone offline?
