Hi,
Has anyone had any success with this?  I have an IDEOS X5.  No luck to register with Xnet or Callcentric using SIPDROID.

With CSIPSIMPLE  I can get it to register with Callcentric.com account.  But nothing with Xnet.

I have a laptop with 3CX softphone (windows) which I can register fine with Xnet and Callcentric.

But Android and Xnet.......

If someone had an example and their settings... it would be great.

Have you tried the 3CX softphone for Andriod?  I use it on my Android phone (although not with Xnet)

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.  I am using 3CX on the laptop.  I tried it on the phone.  But with no success.  But I think yesterday my partially stuffed config of WAG310G was upsetting things.
I will try again now.  Why not.

There have been several other threads on this topic here on GZ. From memory many of the Android app's didn't include support for SIP AuthID's which means there is no way of making it connect.

Thanks.  I am sure there are.  But when I try the search.  I don't get any results.
 I did read your post on this and spent a good part of yesterday with SIPDROID.  It seems to be giving me an extra space in my authuser id.  Did a reset of the phone.  Uninstalled SIPDROID reinstalled.  Tried it with my callcentric account.  Nothing.

Ok.  I got Sipdroid working with Xnet.

AuthUser = SIP Account
AuthPassword = Password
Server or Proxy = pan.wxnz.net
Username or Caller ID = (your number with no zero in front or doesn't matter?)

The main thing is to always copy and paste your Login and Password into Sipdroid from your email.

This was the mistake I made.  There is a big difference between fonts.

With some software you don't get to see the password.  In my case I still would of messed it up.

Thanks for everyones help.

Nice.  I think my euphoria maybe short lived with this sipdroid.  Phone has locked up after 1 call (to Xnet).

Which version of sipdroid did you download? The one you should have is called 'Sipdroid Base'. The other version is bundled with some piece of crap software.

Hi, yes sipdroid base.  Thanks for the info.  I will try and get csipsimple to work as well.  It looks interesting.  I am off travelling in a while so just wanted to get at least something to work.  Without a laptop.

If you get csipsimple working with xnet, please let me know. I'm afraid I've had no luck with it and I don't expect you will either sadly.

I thought I had sipdroid sorted on my phone too but sadly after a day and one call it locked the phone up.... I still haven't found a SIP client to match my old Nokia E71!

Ok. I guess I will find out.  Csipsimple wont work on basic settings for me.  Advanced is a bit out of my league. At least I have something to work even if its not for long  I have the IDEOS X5 as well.

The X5 is great. I am on 2talk so can't help with the VFX settings unfortunately.
