Hi, can anyone help me?

i have linsys SPA3102 hook up with my Huaweri hg56a and is working ok but since the router keep failing on wireless, i have changed it to a orcon homehub but then the voip adaptor is not detected by the router although lan cable is plugged..

i guess the ip might need to change but not sure where should i start as the homehub is not showing the link to the adaptor... any help would be appreciated!!

thanks

The SPA3102 is probably using a LAN address that is not in the same range as the router, or conflicts with something in the router.

You should have the same router configuration in the new box. If this is not possible anymore there are some codes you can enter via the handset to get the configuration for your SPA3102 (or to reset it to factory defaults).

thanks for the quick response.. the dial tone retrieved with the ip addres 192.168.1.2 while the router's gateway address is 192.168.2.1, so are you saying i can change the SPA3102's ip address?? thanks..

They should be at least on the same subnet. Try changing the router to 192.168.1.1 (and make sure your PC is in DHCP mode so it gets a new address)...

While at that, make sure you configure DHCP to not give out addresses under a certain value - you don't want conflicts with the SPA, which is already using 192.168.1.2.

Could be various reasons including a possibler SIP ALG in your router. Contact your VoIP provider and ask them for help, they'll be able to tell you what they're seeing from their end.

It seems the SPA is using DHCP. That's ok. If you are now connected, it's good. Follow sbiddle's advice on configuration though.

make sure you have both devices on the same subnet, maybe you had a fixed ip address in the linksys device
