Folks, similar question so hope you don't mind me using the same thread..... but....
My internet connection is provided through a 3G router (2-4Mb/s). Any recommendations for ATA hardware so I can have a 'local' number for incoming calls.

SRP521 - full router with wireless N. Best option for QoS
SPA122 - full router, but with no wireless. For single computer
SPA112 - standard ATA. Good if your 3G router already has good QoS

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

Just be aware that VoIP over 3G is a best effort service with absolutely no guarantee of quality or service availability.

Thanks Steve, that was what I'd thought which is why I hadn't chased this yet. But theres always some folk who don't understand that you don't have 'a-local' number, and they seem reluctant to want a mobile one. (or in some cases maybe their system won't accept one)

If you want a local number you can get a local number from 2 talk then divert it to your mobile. You pay monthly $11.50 plus approx 20c per minute for incoming .. good solution for incoming calls. You can also use dail tone call back to get calls to landlines from your mobile for 20c /min or free if you use you nz best mate to call your remote connection if you are on vf plan.
