Hi, we have just moved back to telstraclear and I would like to setup my emails on my iphone but keeps coming up with a error message there is a problem with my username and password. I know these are correct. Didn't have any problems when I was with vodafone setting up my mail on my phone . Please Help.
I had a similar issue a long time ago but I don’t think it’s a problem with Clearnet specifically. If your username and password are correct (as verified by successfully logging in to webmail.clear.net.nz) then it’s probably an issue with the mail server settings. Firstly check that you’re using pop.clear.net.nz and smtp.clear.net.nz as your incoming and outgoing mail servers. Secondly, check that your using the right server port numbers (110 and 25 respectively). Lastly, Clearnet use SMTP authentication, so make sure your phone config has this included.
