We are busy building our new house and want to know who is responsible, or who should I contact, in regards to getting the phone line cable run from the boundary to the house?
I thought I could just do it myself but my electrician said I should get it done by our phone provider because if anything goes wrong at a later date, with that cable, then they are responsible for it and any repair costs.
So I contacted TC, who we have our phone and broadband with at our current location, about 3 weeks ago and they didn't seem to know anything about this.
Anyway I've been passed around from department to department and emails have been going back and forth for those 3 weeks and today I got another saying I need to contact Chorus.
So I called Chorus and they told me to go back to TC, who I have emailed back again!
So anyone here know what I need to do?
The trench for the power and phone (& a couple of data runs I will do myself) is already open and waiting for the cables.
Is the cost of this cable and installation included in the $500 rural new connection fee?
